I had a call from an adoptive mother, she will be adopting a newborn in the
next few months.  The birth mother has hepatitis C and the adoptive family
has been told that the baby must be 3 months of age before they can test to
see if the baby has it.  Our question is, if the baby has hepatitis C and
the adoptive mother breastfeeds, can the adoptive mother get hepatitis C
from the newborn?  Any information will be greatly appreciated.
