I remember this case when it was in the newspapers here. The woman said her
doctor had promised her that she would feel no pain, but when she was given
an epidural it didn't "take" and she was very upset, so she sued the doctor
and the hospital. But as I remember it, she lost her case in court. I don't
remember anything about the hospital settling. By the way, the woman's
husband is a physician.
