It's so reassuring to read your comments about not giving diphenhydramine to
babies. There's a person in a neighbouring country who makes up his own
"colic remedy" containing diphenhydramine, alcohol and chloroform and
dispenses it to the friends and relations of some of the babies that I work
with so that they can bring it back here to treat the babies' "colic".  The
baby sleeps 5 hours at a stretch and the mother thinks this is wonderful.
Be warned.  The pharmacist who makes this stuff bragged to me that his colic
remedy is sent all over the world!
