My teenage daughter pointed out to me 2 (maybe there were 3, but I'm old
now and my memory isn't what it used to be) articles/mentions about
breastfeeding in May magazines. One is in Redbook and the other in
Glamour.
My 20 yr old also called yesterday about a local radio station DJ who
was "slamming La Leche League." She was very upset and said I had to
call them and set them straight. It was WKQX (Q101.1) on the Mancow in
the morning show - alternative music for her age group. But they somehow
got on the topic of breastfeeding and Amanda said it was very ugly - he
called long term nursers "pedophiles" and said LLL encouraged this. I
will try to find more information. It's so nice that girls of their ages
feel that breastfeeding is normal and defend it!
Hope this isn't off topic. Maybe I should get some of those media watch
postcards and give them to my kids?
