What about the "Y" word.  Moms who are pumping and have yeast overgrowth in
one breast, say that that breast doesn't let down until, with proper
medication, the yeast is under control. The ductal yeast clogs the pipes.

This could explain the soreness too. And on the trip to Florida, she
probably compromised her ordinarily stellar diet.

BTW, watch for a recurrence of the yeastie beasties after Sunday's sweet
feast.
