Cathy, I thought your post on the teen and low-income mothers and their
attitudes about baby foods was very true and important to be aware of. I
worked with teen mothers a few years ago, and I was very struck by the
status that giving baby foods held for these young women. And I agree with
you that in many cases it wasn't such a bad thing, because it meant the baby
was getting better nutrition than it would have if he'd shared the food his
mother was eating.
