In my experience , he will take it!
When we send babies to the NICU about an hour away, we have moms start
pumping right away, the NICU wont give the babies there milk that was pumped
at another facility until they have cultured the moms milk.  I tell moms,
save the colostrum, its the best stuff, and feed it to the babies when they
come home!
