Well folks do I really want to quit? This is the second time in as many
days. First call a man said he and his partner (another Man) gave birth a
few days ago and is having difficulty establishing lactation- would I do a
consult or help them breastfeed?
Tonight, message left a man calling, stated he was Mr Carl Lee ( a local
grocer) -it wasnt cause I'm at the store several times a week- for gas, said
he needed 15 gallons of milk, and hung up.
I am having a hard enough time as an IBCLC and CCE keeping my mouth shut in
ob and maternity rounds- my instructor said I need to forget what I've been
doing and learning for 10 years and only know what they tell me. gee- if
something goes wrong? But i have been pulled in to translate for at least 5
spanish speaking families because th e nurses don't want to learn to speak
the language. Thank God graduation is in July.
Do you think I could make a fortune if I could get those two first callers
to get herbs, pump and lactate? Thanks folks for the time.
Mechell Turner, M.Ed, IBCLC, CCE, student nurse.
