The evidence for transmission of HIV by breastmilk is neither nebulous nor
contradictory.... It is very plain in study after study that transmission
occurs through breastmilk (as well as other perinatal ways) and that the
longer you breastfeed, the higher your risk of transmission to the infant. As
a board member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine who speaks regularly
with Larry Gartner, Ruth Lawrence, Audrey Naylor, Marianne Neifert, etc., I
know of no-one who thinks otherwise.
