Twice in the last 2 weeks, I have heard one of our doctors call from surgery
and request a bottle of formula to inject into the patient's bladder in
surgery. Now I suppose there may have been a nick and they are using the
formula like the old methylene (?sp) blue. This does not make sense to me
unless they want to treat bladder infections post op. Anyone hear of this? I
think breastmilk would be a more logical choice but I doubt any of our moms
would be willing to give up there "liquid gold" for such a procedure!
However, I do think it better to have it wasted in surgery than on our
shelves.
