Invesitgating something is just that. We don't know (although we can hope),
which side the AAP will officially take. My bet is they will NEVER make a
specific reference to a named program, like EZZO, for fear of lawsuits. The
AAP, unlike the AMA, is not dumb enough to endorse products ! From talking
with Pediatricians in California, few know about the EZZO stuff, let alone
take a stand on it. >>
I do know the resolution passed, not exactly as stated by District IV which
was the one that presented it, and it does name the two programs by name in
the resolution. You are right; that isn't policy. But I think if you look in
the AAP News, Nov., 1998, you'll see it. I can't lay my hands on it right now
to quote it, but will as soon as I can find it.
Surprised not more peds know about it in CA as that is where it started, and
where the headquarters of GFI are. Ezzo claims to "have HUNDREDS (emphasis
mine) of pediatricians on his medical advisory board." Of course, he won't
name them, and the 32 that are listed in Babywise are not all pediatricians.
