Hello Lactnetters,
Situation for your consideration: Mother of 22 month old is working teaching
Gross Anatomy, with the attendant exposure to phenol, that this class entails.
Mom has been working 5.5 hours, one day, each week. Is considering teaching
more, up to 17 hours/ week of Anatomy teaching. When baby was younger, and mom
was considering teaching this class, mom got as much info as possible
including from you nice people here.. :) Mom remains concerned about the
exposure since she has been unable to find anyone, even chem labs, who will
test her milk for her. She is seeming to rush weaning, in her own words,
because she is concerned, and feels that 22 months is enough, but baby is very
unhappy and resistive to the pace of this weaning. Mom would not feel the need
to rush if she could find a place to test her milk and give her some concrete
info. Suggestions?
Thanks,
Judy LeVan Fram, Brooklyn, NY
