Cindy asked about induced lactation from Risperidone.

This drug is used to treat acute and chronic psychoses and has a side effect
of increasing the prolactin level (as chlorpromazine, domperidone,
metoclopramide do).

There is no data on use by breastfeeding mothers; how hard to be told we dont
know if it's safe for you to breastfeed but , by the way, it will cause you to
make lots of milk.I had to pass this onto a pregnant mother recently. Her
cocktail of drugs to treat schizophrenia made it difficult to assess safety -
but she was stable so should that regime be changed?! Really hard!
