Good Morning,
I am a bit confused about Procardia XL and breastfeeding. The information in
Hales book seemed confusing to me about the safety of this drug. I have a mom,
who had the worse c/section wound I have seen in 19 years of nursing. (It was
so deep, it was down to the muscle) She is very motivated to bf and this has
been going well. Her blood pressure has been elevated and the doctor started
her on procardia xl about 3 weeks ago. Her medical doctor refused to give her
another prescription unless she promised him she would stop nursing. She did
promise, but refuses to really stop.(can you feel me smiling?) Her blood
pressure has not changed much, and she is looking for another medical doctor!!
Any comments on the safety of this drug would be very much appreciated.
TIA
