Joan: Thanks for the welcome. Goldenseal is one of those 'questionable
during lactation herbs.' It's not absolutely contraindicated; nor is it
recommended. With such a small dose, it is unlikely to have and effect (on
mom or baby). Short term use of goldseal as a tea (a few days) is unlikely
to have a negative effect on an older baby, but as always WATCH THE BABY.
Anyone can have an allergic reaction to anything at any time, so the
standard "pay attention" rule applies.
