Hi to all,
My wonderful friend and colleague, Desiree Nelson, of the now defunct Baby
friendly designated Cottage Grove hospital, used to say that even formula
feeding moms benefited from The Ten Steps, because it is a standard of care
that promotes bonding and a high level of education about parenting
behaviors for all parents, not just those who choose to breastfeed. I think
we need to remember always that parents who choose to bottle feed are very
much influenced by what we do and say, and that if their experience with us
is a positive one, they may come back to us and want to breastfeed their
next child. Just my .02.
