Urgent!! We are trying to prevent the renewal of a contract with a formula
company at our hospital. The previous contract lasted five years and
included funding with MANY strings attached including free formula and the
requirement to hand out packages produced by the formula company to all
postpoartum mothers. We are running into resistance from administration who
are reluctant to let go of these funds. We are planning a presentation
before the Ethics Committee. Does anyone out there have experience and
suggestions how to put an end to this insidious undermining of
breastfeeding? Have you succeeded at your hospitals? We would really
appreciate support.
