Why not try...Sure, all these problems confound things, but...the babies
are likely to be premature and unlikely to go directly to breast (if
neonatology is there like it is here, in Ohio). Anyway, that means the
mom will have time to establish her milk supply with pumping. I'd
prepare her for that.....Once the supply is established (or lack thereof
noted) the next set of decisions will be about how much breastfeeding to
do, how often, which babies go first....that can all wait, right?
i'd also prepare her with info about Kangaroo care for preemies. In my
experience it really helps with milk supply.
