Hello everyone. I am new to this list so I'd like to introduce myself. I am
a LLLLeader and a childbirth educator. I have four daughters ranging in age
from 12 to almost 3.
I got a call yesterday from a mom with a 15 month old. The baby is allergic
to dairy, wheat, eggs, soy, turkey, red meat, potatoes, and much, much more.
The mom has been following her very restricted diet religiously and making
sure the baby eats only safe foods. Her question was how long the allergens
from the food she eats stays in her milk, ie how long would she have to pump
and dump after eating a non-safe food. She is desperate to go out to dinner
with her husband. I have not been able to find any info anywhere. I know
that dairy stays in the milk for at least four days, but I haven't read
anything about other foods. If anyone has any clue, I'd appreciate it. TIA!
