Jan, what is the behaviour of this baby like? Settled or 'colicky'? Just a
stab in the dark, but I have seen babies getting adequate to oversupply of
milk and not gaining when they have food allergies or intolerances (in the
cases I have seen, it was to cow's milk protein). It's like the gut is so
irritated that they cannot efficiently absorb the food. Usually they have
lots of wet and dirty nappies, and cry a lot.
