Hi,
Got my first call asking if vitamin D supplimentation was really necessary.
Seems a pediatrician quoted a recent study that stated human milk was
deficient. The mom told me that she figured that was "bunk, because how could
we have survived as a species if that was true?"
I asked her to ask her doctor where he had read that.
I did tell the mom that if she spent 1/2 in the sun every 2 weeks she would
have plenty of vitamin D for her baby. She said THAT certainly wasn't a
problem for her. (we're in sunny Florida, after all).
Thank you, whoever it was that posted the heads up on this study.
