Aloha,
Yes, the funding is from the government. No spending this much money
will not force cuts. I no longer get as irate as I used to about the
waste of money---maybe I should, but I guess I realized I cannot fight
it.
This is how it works. Spend all the money you have allotted to your
program before the end of the fiscal year. If you do, you can justify
getting the same amount or more for the next fiscal year (October 1 thru
Sept 30). If you do not spend the money, then the funds will be cut.
I appreciate the Air Force wanting to help families (they do more than
the other branches of the military), but there is still waste. You
should see the frenzy of trying to spend any remaining money at the end
of the fiscal year!
BTW our local program pays the full price of the P**P N S**le.
