Aloha Kathy,
I tell moms that starting about 6 weeks of age many babies do not stool
as often as the 2-5 stools per day in earlier weeks that were to be
expected. Some may stool once every two-three days or once a week. This
is in the realm of normal for breastfed babies.
For all three of my children, starting at 6 weeks, they would only stool
once a week. That one day a week I refered to as their pooping day as
that is all they did! It seemed that once they weaned from the breast
their norm came to be once a day thereafter.
Aloha,
