When my children were asked to sell Nestle candy (or greeting cards or
trinkets etc) for their schools, we gave a hefty cash contribution directly
to the schools and did not let them participate in the sales campaign. This
was partly because my husband and I were in jobs where selling to our
colleagues was inappropriate, and partly because of the Nestle boycott.
