Thanks to all the folks who sent me helpful suggestions about the sleepy baby
I saw this week.   I'm happy to say that I had a call from his mother this
evening to say that the positioning suggestions had helped, and though he
still nurses a very long time all the time things seem to be moving in the
right direction, and there is more reason to hope that it's just his
temperament rather than a supply/delivery problem at this point.   She's more
comfortable, and he's a touch more awake (and pooping enough).   Last night he
lay in the bed with her and nursed and slept all night -- everybody cheerful
in the morning.
