I recently became aware that the Cosco Dream Ride car seat is approved
for use in a supine position and for use with air bags.  I have no
personal knowledge of this; it is based on an article in Childbirth
Instructor magazine, if I remember correctly.  Many car seats don't work
well for very small babies.  I am appalled at the number of parents who
don't know that the straps must be snug with the chest strap across the
nipple line.  I have seen two across the baby's ankles in the last week
or two.
