Sorry to pop up again on this, but Elisheva's question was about a 5 day
old who 'nurses all the time *he is awake.*'  Crucial addendum.

I really don't think that is a problem.  Babies in the early days do this.
It is normal.  I would worry about a 5 day old who woke without feeding.

In fact, as long as the positioning, urine and stools and all the other
signs of happy bf are there, ascertained by observation, listening to the
mother and record keeping,  in the UK we would keep intervention of any
kind at arms length...and continue to observe and support...are we wrong?
