The AAP and ACOG said VERY clearly in the last 2 editions of "Guidelines for
Perinatal Care", and the AAP said it clearly in it's last policy statement re
newborn screening (Glu/BP/Hct) -- don't screen all newborns!!!! only those
considered high risk.  The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (ABM) will have a
draft policy on glucose screening and treatment available soon.  It agrees
with the WHO Review of the literature noted before.
