Just yesterday I asked one of the ob/gyn docs to explain why he used formula
instead of meth. blue to check a bladder for poss. leaks on our patient who
had a vag hyst. He said that it is easier to repair damaged tissue if it isn't
stained with the blue dye. I had never heard this one before---he said it is
an old trick. I think that the formula companies are looking for another
market for their milk. After all if breastfeeding rates are increasing they
will need some place to market their product.
