I beg to differ a little with you here.  My understanding is that some foods,
like broccoli, cabbage, etc, give us adults gas because of the way the fiber
breaks down in our gut.  Fiber cannot pass through our breast milk.  These
foods would not cause gas in our babies.  Anybody have a reference for this
off the top of your head?  I'm not finding it in a quick look through my
books.
