Paula, I don't know if anyone suggested Gentian Violet. I have found it to
be a good "test" of yeast. It can bring quite rapid releif of pain if it
is yeast related.
I have had several mothers who, after Diflucan didn't resolve their yeast,
agreed to "go purple" for a few days and found that their pain was
resolved. In these resistent cases it sometimes took a week of GV to
totally resolve the problem. I like to use GV along with Diflucan. It also
is very good for resolving the "blebs" that often accompany a yeast infection.
