Cindy, Would the Dancer hand position help? Also consider going back
to basics: sit comfortably, use a pillow in the lap, tummy-to-tummy
position, consider cross-cradle hold or clutch(football) holds,
supporting breasts so baby's jaws don't tire. Consider pumping after
feeds and use the hindmilk in the bottles for supplementation (Barbara
Wilson-Clay's recent recommendation for an almost term premie), or, my
preference, feed all supplements by cup or medicine spoon so baby will
loose the bottle mentality (considering he quits trying after only a
few sucks). Is mom trying fenugreek or blessed thistle? Sleeping with
baby? Double pumping? OT's are the greatest! Can they get in quickly?
Good luck! Regards, Rowena Tucker,PA,LLLL,IBCLC
