This post is directed at Linda Smith and anyone else with expertice in this
area.
I have had several cases where a mom has breast changes in preg and has signs
of mature milk coming in but if there is any slight interuption in feedings (
sleepy baby, poor suck, infrequent feeds, ect.) the supply diminishes quickly
and approaches such as; increase fdgs, pumpings, galactagogues did not bring
the supply back. They appear to have a "fragile" milk supply
I know Linda has given talks regarding untreated engorgement and loss of milk
production that can not be restimulated, but these cases do not follow that
senerio.
Have others noticed this? Any sugestions or etiologies?
Thanks.
