Hi Rob,
You asked about a six month old baby who won't take solids, even after trying
LOTS of tricks. Could it be possible that the baby may be susceptible to
allergies? Could his gag reflex still be very active? Is he still tongue-
thrusting?
I guess what I am getting at is that this little guy may not be
physiologically ready for solids. Some babies are late in getting the hang of
it. I would think that as long as his weight gain is fine, and all other
systems are "go", not to worry with it. Mother's milk is, calorie for
calorie, healthier for a baby of this age than processed baby cereal, anyway.
I have seen picky eater at eighteen months old who do eventually catch on!
