In kidnap prevention we were advised to eliminate crib cards so potential
kidnapers would know less about infants and moms. We still use them, but
are going to a locked unit.  If you are worried about the subjects on the
crib, color sounds like a good alternative.  Working in a maternity unit I
know how impossible it is too remember each dyads history for care.
