Re : Oxiconazole
Oxiconazole is just another topical antifungal primarily indicated for use
in Tinea infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm
(trichophyton) where it is most potent. Its' potency for candida species
appears moderate to weak compared to other antifungals. It appears about
equal in potency to miconazole, but oxiconazole is quite expensive. Oral
bioavailability is probably poor, so I doubt that it would cause much of a
problem for a breastfeeding infant, but it would not be a very good choice
considering miconazole is cheaper.
