Well, it's hard to be sure a mother will not produce milk if she cannot pump
any (even moisture) at 3 days postpartum.  Often they can express better by
hand than with a pump.  She could be overflowing at 4 days or 5 days.

If you think it's a real production problem, start fenugreek now.  And

If she truly needs medication for depression sertraline (Zoloft) is a good
choice for a nursing mother.
