"Fraiser" had a reference to breastfeeding last night. As always
positive and negative mixed together. Roz mentioned that she had
just finished nursing so she could have her first coffee in months.
She was obviously having a caffiene rush and spoke very quickly.
The baby is old enough for solids but I would guess under a year.
They haven't shown the baby much since her birth. I don't think
there have been any other references to Roz nursing but I have
missed a few episodes this season.
At least she nursed for more than many mums in the audience. Maybe
all mums don't give up coffee but it is possible she chose to do
this for her baby or the baby may have reacted badly to her coffee
drinking. The nice part is she didn't say that she had to wean and
she wasn't complaining. The sad part is that she said she had just
finished nursing like it was a project that one completes. But at
least nursing was just a normal part of the show/the character's
life with no comments by anyone.
Funny how often bf is coming up on tv lately. Perhaps even if they
hate us for it, our pushing will result in it being polically
incorrect to show bottles on tv shows. Just like one never sees
cigarette smoking on tv anymore.
