Laura, According to the Nutrition During Pregnancy and Lactation: An
Implementation Guide 1992, P75. " You need enough food ( at least 1800
calories/ day) to maintain milk production and to provide the nutrients
that you and your baby need" " Take enough fluids ( especially milk ,
juice, water, and soup) to keep from getting thirsty". You can check
another book for other recommendations called Nutrition During Lactation ,
1991. It is publised by the National Academy Press. If you wish the address
