The anonymous post was certainly a sad case.
I would be glad that I had contacted the provider to alert them of a possible
problem.
I wonder why you weren't able to see her with the baby? I would think there
might not have been enough information to recommend such specialists with a
consult over the phone. Some mothers don't even know how to hold a baby for a
feeding. On the other hand, maybe the  baby would have given bigger clues to a
problem if it had been observed.
 That kind of case takes its emotional toll on all involved.
