Being a childbirth educator, I read the above post with great interest.  I
didn't quite understand-is the hospital passing out these packs at the
prenatal classes or is it your partner that brings them along?  I would bet
that if you talked to whoever is in charge of prenatal ed. at your hospital
and told them about how detrimental it is to BF and your staunch
disapproval of this practice, they'd be gone.

The past problem in our area was passing our formula gift packs in the OB
offices, though I'm hearing rumor that this isn't the case anymore.  I'm
hoping enough BF moms (like myself) complained and they d/c'd this
practice.
