Hello to All,
It has been quite a while since I have posted to Lactnet and much has
happened. We have bought a house and have decided to stay in the North for a
few years. I continue to teach prenatal classes, work in a Federally funded
prenatal nutrition program and have a private practice as a lactation
consultant. It's nice to see the many new names on this group.
On to my query. I have a client who has been told she requies ACE Inhibitors
(either Zestril, Ramipril) or an ACE-like Inhibitor (Cozaar). She is currently
37 weeks pregnant. The information in Dr. Hale's book ('97) indicates little
or no information on these drugs for breasfeeding mothers. I am wondering what
information has become available in the past year or so on these. The mother
has a genetic kidney disorder.
P.S. I will purchase the '98 version of Dr. Hale's book soon but I would
appreciate any and all responses.
Thanks so much,
