Can't help but add a PS to Helen's note on the lesser known international
(non US!) BF community...
In the new ILCA directory, the knowledge of British geography is quite
desperate - listings are hilariously grouped with no distinction between
counties (similar to US states); cities, or even countries. Thus one
listing is titled Ealing (a London tube stop), another Hertfordshire (a
county), then Huddersfield (my small home town) and then Northern
Ireland....Like categorizing California, Bangor, the Bronx, and Western
Samoa as equivalents. If we are supposed to be international we should do
better. Being ignorant myself of Israeli, South African, and Australian
geography, I'm not sure whether the same big errors have been made elsewhere..
