My personal theory about yeast in breastfeeding is that a lot of the symptoms
especially the deep or shooting pains are a hypersensitivity reaction to the
presence of the yeast rather than infection mediated or direct inflamation.
Much like a kerion or "teddy" is a hypersensitivity reaction to tinea. I'm
also curoius about the effects that antihistamines or anti-inflamatories may
have on the symptoms.
