Hi All,
I will be forever grateful, proud and relieved that my daughter listened to
my stories of teaching childbirth classes for hospital births. When she
became pregnant, she carefully investigated her options and decided to have
a midwife-attended, properly backed-up home birth in our upstairs bedroom.
It was fabulous, wonderful, etc etc. (Some of your may remember my posts
about this).
Now when my granddaughter Carrie, (6 years old) comes to visit, she insists
on sleeping in "the room that I was born in." I hope Carrie becomes as
strong as her mother Hannah and her grandmother before her who insisted on
"natural childbirth" in 1970 when all moms got saddle blocks when their
babies were crowning. Except me.
