<< I was thrilled to hear that Mr. Rogers won a WBW Award for the Bf
segment
on his show. I did get a chance to see it, and he deserves it. The segment
begins with all sorts of animals nursing, and then goes to Bf mothers of
different races. They did throw a bottle feeding mom in there for a couple
of
seconds, probably to quell the ABM lobbyists. Even so, it was a terrific
piece, and quite graphic for children (nipples were shown--leaking milk!). >>

I'm thrilled to know this segment is still showing. MILC (Metro IL LC's)
wrote a letter back in 1987 or 88 congratulating PBS & the Mr. Rogers
Neighborhood on this segment. I think I still have their nice reply somewhere
in my files. It is definitely one of the best I've ever seen on TV touting
the normalcy of breastfeeding.
