Well, folks. I have another question.
Has anyone else tried to use the new directory? I discovered another problem.
I got a request for a referral in a state I USED to live in (I have lived
in 41). Although the cities/towns, etc (at least in the USA) seem to make
sense, there is no ZIP CODE for any of them; thus, after finding no one
listed in a particular town, I was at a loss to find a CLOSE or nearby town
because no zip codes could be used as a guide--except by going through ALL
the names in the entire state and trying to pick and choose, going back and
forth, front to back, a real time-waster.
Has anyone else had the same problem? It seems to me that the Board should
just stop worrying about "protection" and make a roster that WORKS! One
where zip codes come with the names if they are going to insist on
separating alpha list from the geo one. A city/town name is NOT ENOUGH.
Anyone else had the same problem? Other problems?
Perhaps after using it, a bunch of us ought to get together and send ALL of
our suggestions in at once to the office and Board members to see if it
will make any difference.
