I am working with a pregnant mother that is experiencing what is being labeled
as an immune reaction to her pregnancy. She is currently 25 weeks and has been
hospitalized on immune suppressant medication. This is her 4th pregnancy. She
has 2 living children born full term without complications. These two were
breastfed past a year. The other baby was a late miscarriage due to placental
problems.
She is very concerned by the minimal breast changes she is experiences with
this pregnancy and wanted to know if this condition will inhibit her abality
to lactate. If you have experience with a mother in a similiar situation
please let me know if breastfeeding was successful.
