Dear Lactnet Members,

I am in the process of putting together a presentation. The focus is Hospital
Based
Lactaction clinics and the role that they play in providing follow up post
discharge to assure the adequacy of breastfeeding.

Is anyone aware or any studies that address hospital based lactaction clinics
and the effects they have on the initiation and the duration of breastfeeding.

A question for those members who are working in hospital based clinics.
What about the effects within your institution on the readmission rates for
dehydration/phototherapy? Has the clinics made a difference?

Thanks for your input,

Margaret Sherratt R.N. IBCLC
