I just HAD to throw another .02 in on the Buspar discussion after hearing Dr.
Lorne Garretson discuss this at ILCA...He said that in terms of the SSRI
category of drugs (including fluoxetine (Prozac), sertraline (Zoloft), and
Buspar) there has only been one documented case with convincing adverse
effects that could be attributed to the drug. Most interesting was that
unpublished data suggest that there is a greater incidence of failure-to-
thrive in babies whose breastfeeding mothers were untreated for their
depression...so apparently current therapy in any form is safer than no
therapy..(a great example for the "sacrificing on the altar...." book, huh?)
